Ja Morant suffered a painful hand injury during Game 1 between the Lakers and Grizzlies which forced him to leave the game early.

NBA insider Shams Charania provided an update on Morant’s injury, saying that it is being treated as a pain tolerance injury right now.

“Ja Morant suffered a hand injury in Game 1 and underwent an X-ray that day on Sunday,” Charania said on FanDuelTV. “He underwent further testing, further evaluation on Monday. I’m told there are no breaks, no fractures in Ja Morant’s hand.

“As of right now being treated more as a pain tolerance injury… He felt that it was a 10/10 when it comes to pain, so his status is still very much up in the air for Game 2 on Wednesday.”
