Jaden McDaniels is set to miss time due to a self-inflicted hand injury. The 22-year-old power forward suffered fractures of his third and fourth metacarpals after punching the wall with his right hand during the game between the Timberwolves and Pelicans.

He has been placed in a cast and will be out indefinitely, per NBA.com. McDaniels will miss Minnesota’s play-in game against the Lakers.

Jon Krawczynski reports that McDaniels hit a plastic curtain not knowing that there was a concrete wall behind it.

This season the players averaged 12.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 30.6 minutes per game.
