Danny Green got nothing but a roller coaster experience so far as a Cleveland Cavalier this season, per Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.

“A whirlwind,” Green said about his Cavs tenure so far. “When you get older, you bounce around a little bit and try to find a home. Figuring out and seeing whether you’re going to get some minutes or not, trying to get healthy and stay healthy, build a rhythm. It’s been a different one, a new one for me. A rollercoaster for sure.”

Green was landed by Cleveland last midseason, as the veteran was released by the Houston Rockets following a trade deadline deal made by the Memphis Grizzlies.

He only managed to log seven games so far for the Cavs this year, but his last one was a major surprise. In the team’s 118-94 Thursday dub over the Orlando Magic, Green turned back the clock, scoring 21 points off the bench while unleashing five treys.

This made some wonder if he could be handed some playoff exposure as the team is headed to the playoffs for the first time since 2017-18, as Isaac Okoro’s health remains uncertain with a knee injury.

“You know what Danny is capable of,” coach J.B. Bickerstaff said. “I think his thing was he just was going to have to get opportunities and get reps to play. We had a plan for him prior to him getting sick and then that kind of made an adjustment. Isaac going down for as long as he did, that kind of made an adjustment to it.

“We know and he said it time and time again that he’ll be ready for the playoffs and he’ll be ready when his number is called.”
