The season might be over for Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving after the Mavericks lost a crucial game against the Hawks.

Dallas finds itself in a very difficult situation in terms of advancing to the postseason. With three regular-season games left to play, the team is 11th in the Western Conference and is a game behind the Thunder.

Furthermore, Oklahoma City holds the tiebreaker which means that the Mavs are two games behind them.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the Mavericks are seriously thinking about shutting down Doncic and Irving for this year.

“I’m told that the organization is seriously considering the possibility of shutting down [Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving],” Charania said on FanDuel TV.
