As they availed their second payment for the ownership of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez released their statement Tuesday to express their delight at the transition they make.

In a note provided by The Athletic’s Jon Krawczysnski, both Lore and Rodriguez thanked majority owner Glen Taylor for the guidance and partnership as they continue their collaboration for the Wolves’ ownership duties.

Both Lore and Rodriguez closed out their second payment for the Minnesota franchise worth $290 million. The duo now owns 40 percent of the team, and their next payment will assure them as the new majority owners of the Timberwolves.

The camp of Lore and Rodriguez is expected to purchase 40 percent of the team by December 31, 2023, with Taylor still retaining the remaining 20 percent as the team’s minority owner.
