It has been reported that the Trail Blazers are seriously considering shutting down Damian Lillard for this season as the team is unlikely to make the postseason.
The 32-year-old superstar missed the last two Portland’s games, but according to head coach Chauncey Billups he has not been shut down, neither has been Jerami Grant or other main players.
“We’re just being cautious,” Billups said, via Sean Highkin.
The Blazers have not been officially eliminated from the postseason but they are very close to that. With 8 regular season games left to play, Portland is 13the in the West and is 4.5 games behind the 10-seed.
