Rookie point guard Jaden Ivey talked about growing through mistakes following the Detroit Pistons’ most recent 118-97 road loss vs. the Toronto Raptors (20 points/3 rebounds/8 assists/1 steal/9 turnovers/7-13 FG/2-6 3-PT/4-4 FT).
(via Bally Sports Detroit):
“You grow through your mistakes. You try to think about your mistakes, and you try to correct them as best as you can. So the next opportunity you go out there and compete, you don’t make the same mistakes. I had 9 turnovers tonight, that’s horrible for a point guard. I gotta look at that, look myself in the mirror, and say, ‘What can I do better? How can I make the easy pass, the simple pass, instead of try to thread the needle sometimes.’ I’m gonna be better from this. I shouldn’t have 9 turnovers in a game, it’s just absurd. I just gotta look myself in the mirror and say, ‘How can I be better?’”
