Currently Luka Doncic leads the NBA in scoring with 34.2 points per game. This is his fifth year in the league and his career scoring average (27.4 points per game) is almost identical to that of LeBron James (27.2).
If the Slovenian superstar continues the same pace going forward, he could catch up with James and potentially overtake him. But only if Doncic has the same kind of longevity as the four-time NBA champion.
Personally, Luka does not see it happening. “If you’re saying me, there’s no way,” Doncic said before the question was even asked, per Tim MacMahon of ESPN, “because I’m not playing that much.”
