It took Joel Embiid just 24 minutes to score 36 points and grab 11 rebounds as the 76ers demolished the Pistons (147-116).

The 28-year-old superstar missed the previous three games with a foot injury, but says he feels alright after a dominant performance against Detroit.

“I’m alright. Better than expected,” Embiid said to reporters after the game. He clarified that this injury was not related to the plantar fasciitis he had in the offseason, saying it was instead the one he “had earlier in the year, landing on someone’s foot. I don’t know if I did the same thing but it’s about the same thing, so I just gotta manage it and go off based on pain and stuff.”

This season Embiid is averaging 33.5 points, 9.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 35.5 minutes per game.
