Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan applauded Kevin Durant’s greatness after last night’s 121-112 home win vs. the Brooklyn Nets (44 points/4 rebounds/5 assists/1 steal/2 blocks/15-22 FG/5-10 3-PT/9-9 FT).

“The greatest thing that I ever saw with Kevin, besides all the preparation and the work that he does, he is not afraid of the moment. He leans into the moment and embraces that, and there are certain guys that don’t want any part of that, quite honestly. He thrives in that. There is absolutely zero fear in him at all. He’ll go for it. That’s the thing I respect about him more than anything else in my short amount of time with him.

“I think that mentality of working the way he does, the way he practices, and the way he prepares, allows him to have that kind of mentality because he knows he’s done all that he can do. I’m not trying to speak for Kevin, but that’s something when watching him, 2 point game, ‘There is no doubt I’m making this shot. I’m not shying away from it. I’m leaning into it. I want it.’ And if you look at his career in all moments where things have been on the line, he leans into it. I have such admiration and respect for that.”
