Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle called TJ McConnell “a once in a decade type player” after Monday’s 122-114 home win vs. the Toronto Raptors (15 points/2 rebounds/3 assists/4-6 FG/7-7 FT).
(via Indiana Pacers):
“TJ McConnell is a once in a decade type player. You just don’t find guys like that, that just have that boundless energy, that have that indomitable spirit, and that can lift the entire building with one defining loose ball play. He does it every night. This has been an adjustment for him. For his career, he’s averaged over 20 minutes consistently, but he’s playing behind Tyrese [Haliburton], who is doing amazing things. So his minutes have been a little less, but he gets everything he can out of those minutes. And tonight, he was the leader of that group.”
