Lakers point guard Patrick Beverley was a guest Kevin Hart’s show Cold As Balls. He talked about his path to the NBA and how he developed into one of the best defenders in the league.

“You got to understand. When I come to the NBA, we’re talking about one of the best, the best brand of basketball ever played on planet Earth,” Pat Bev said. “I’m a defender. I have to learn a whole new trait. I never played defense. So, my sh*t is stemming from being angry and always overlooked.”

When Hart mentioned Kyle Lowry as a good defender, Beverley disagreed. “[Kyle Lowry] defends okay. You’re just saying it because he’s from Philly… No he’s not [a good defender].

“Me, Jrue Holiday. Great defender, great defender,” the 34-year-old point guard started listing best defenders in the NBA. “Marcus Smart,” he added.

Beverley disagreed with Hart that there are 5-6 good defending point guards in the NBA and instead said that there are three.
