Damian Lillard scored 28 points for the Trail Blazers in the loss against the Thunder (121-123). He overtook Clyde Drexler as the franchise’s all-time leading scorer.

After the game the superstar admitted that it has been his goal for a long time, but he would have preferred to reach the milestone in a win.

“It’s an accomplishment that came with a lot of losses and a lot of wins,” the 32-year-old point guard said. “I don’t want to not acknowledge it. It’s an honor, it’s a great feeling to reach the top.

“It’s been a goal of time. The list has so many great players, the great history of the organization sort of to climb it and be number one is a special accomplishment that I’m proud of.

“Thankful for all the people that played a part like I’ve been saying for the last couple of days. But you want to enjoy the moment in a win.

“Even during the game tonight I wasn’t playing focused on getting to the record. I was playing the game and just trying to win.”
