With one third of the regular season in the books, the defending NBA champions find themselves barely hanging in the play-in zone.

The Warriors have won 14 and lost 14 games which is good enough for the 10th spot in the Western Conference. There is thinking that what keeps Golden State from being one of the top teams in the league is the team’s young players that are not developing as fast as anticipated.

Recently the Dubs sent James Wiseman, the second overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft, to the G League to get more reps. The center 21-year-old center returned to the main team for a single game and was moved back to Santa Cruz.

His teammate Jonathan Kuminga is getting more time with the Warriors, but last year’s 7th overall draft pick is still coming off the bench.

An anonymous NBA executive told Steve Bulpett of Heavy.com that Golden State may be open to move one of the two bigs in order to add a much needed experience to the roster.

This season Wiseman is averaging 6.5 points and 3.7 rebounds in 12.7 minutes per game, while Kuminga is averaging 7.3 points, 3 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 17.2 minutes per game.
