Even though he received widespread backlash recently, suspended All-Star Kyrie Irving is continuing his good deeds off the court.

The Brooklyn Nets guard reportedly donated $65,000 to the family of Shanquella Robinson. Based on the GoFundMe page for Robinson, Irving donated twice, first with $50,000 and was followed up by $15,000.

Robinson, a young, 25-year-old hairstylist from Charlotte, passed away last Oct. 29 on her trip with her friends in Mexico. Initially, it was ruled out that she died due to alcohol poisoning, but investigations by Mexican authorities have noted that she sustained “severe spinal cord injury and atlas luxation” along with the instability of the first two neck vertebrae as her causes of death.

A brutal video went circulating around the internet alleging Robinson being beaten by a woman. Robinson’s mother pointed out that the people within the clip are her daughter’s friends.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is now conducting an investigation for probable homicide in the incident regarding Robinson.

After missing eight games due to team suspension upon his reluctance to denounce his antisemitic stances, Irving is finally expected to play and be back from team activities on Sunday at home vs Memphis Grizzlies.
