Brooklyn Nets second-year man Cam Thomas is liking what he sees on his minute addition and increased production on the hardwood.

After a challenging start for this season wherein, he wasn’t able to land a decent rotational exposure, Thomas has expressed his gratitude for gaining interim head coach Jacque Vaughn’s trust and confidence to perform for the past two games – wherein the Nets have won back-to-back sans suspended Kyrie Irving.

It means a lot, Thomas said. “It was a rough first two, three weeks of the season for me. For coach JV to have trust in me to close a game out… I can’t thank him enough for that.”

“I thank my teammates too for trusting me with the ball down the stretch.”

Playing off the bench, Thomas picked up 21 points, three boards, and three assists against the Charlotte Hornets, playing a significant role in the Nets’ late game 23-7 surge in the final frame to steal a 96-92 gutsy win.

As Brooklyn continues to enjoy a temporary sigh of relief following a major disastrous week, Thomas’ young talent and scoring prowess will remain reliable as the franchise eyes a much higher climb from a slow start.
