A former psychologist of the San Antonio Spurs is set to make her appearance on Thursday in wake of the Joshua Primo scandal, her attorney announced on Monday.

As stated by Attorney Tony Buzbee, his client and psychologist Hillary Cauthen will speak in front of the media to address the allegations being thrown against Primo.

“The Buzbee Law Firm represents former San Antonio Spurs consulting psychologist Dr. Hillary Cauthen,” the Buzbee firm noted to KENS 5. “At the conference, Tony Buzbee will discuss allegations made by Dr. Cauthen and others against NBA player Josh Primo, the events that precipitated the release of Primo, the veracity of recent public statements made by both the Spurs organization and Primo, interactions with individuals within the San Antonio Spurs organization, and the expected path forward. Dr. Cauthen will be present to make a public statement and answer pertinent questions. No proprietary information will be shared at the conference. HIPPA restrictions will be observed.”

As their last year’s lottery talent, Primo was shockingly waived by the Spurs last Friday. It turned out that he is facing alleged unwanted exposure within the franchise as initially revealed by ESPN.

Following the release, Primo went unclaimed by the other 29 teams across the league, making his rookie contract voided as he became a free agent.

Gregg Popovich and the Spurs remain mum on the incident marred by Primo, declining to give answers on the inquiries related to the issue. In the statement released by the franchise, top executive R.C. Bufford said that they can only hope that the dismissal will serve the best interest for both sides.

For his part, Primo provided a personal statement via ESPN, citing needs to seek mental health treatment.
