It took six games for the Lakers to record their first win of the season against the Nuggets (121-110). Head coach Darvin Ham was in a good mood and expressed optimism after the game.

He noted the trust that the players have in his system and that how it finally resulted in a win. Ham remains confident that the Lakers can achieve big things this season.

“We are gonna do some special things this year,” he said. “But first and foremost we got to establish the culture, establish a competitive identity, a physical identity, a defensive identity.

“And our offense … LeBron is the best quarter back in the NBA hands down. So I’m not worried about our offense. AD can score with the best of them, Russ pushes the pace. I’m not worried about offense, who’s going to score. But it’s all about creating our identity and establishing our culture as the Lakers.”
