For the second time this season Russell Westbrook came off the bench for the Lakers. The former NBA MVP finished the game with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists in 32 minutes as his team recorded its first win of the season against the Nuggets (121-110).

After the game the 33-year-old point guard talked about making a sacrifice to help the Lakers win. Russ expressed commitment to doing whatever is necessary.

“Like I’ve mentioned before, we had many conversations about sacrifice and understanding what that looks for me,” Westbrook said. “Like I’ve mentioned since day one, whatever is needed of me to be able to help the team win, that’s what I’ll do and I’ll continue doing that as the season goes on.”

Over the five regular season games that he has played, Westbrook is averaging 12.3 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in 29.5 minutes per game.
