The Warriors dynasty built around Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green which brought four championships to the team over the span of 9 years could be facing real risk of being dissembled.

Green is entering the final year of his current contract and is unlikely to get an extension before the deadline which is October 17. He already revealed that he is open to leaving Golden State if another team offers more money.

Moreover, over the last couple of years Jordan Poole has emerged as a key contributor to the team. He averaged 8.8 points and 12 points per game during his first two years in the league. Last season that number rose to 18.5 points per game.

Unlike Green, he is expected to get an extension from the Warriors before the start of the season. At the age of 23 he still has many years to play and develop.

According to an NBA agent, Poole is already a priority to the Warriors over Green. Not only that, he thinks that the shooting guard has more value to the team than Klay Thompson.

“I don’t think it’d be easy to trade him right now [given the incident]. They’re going to try [to keep both]. Poole is obviously the priority,” one agent said. “Draymond and even Klay [Thompson] were side-eyeing Poole, but that’s not surprising since he’s passed both of them in terms of value on the team.”
