After an injury scare on Friday, Jamal Murray is all good while noting that there’s nothing to worry about regarding his status.

Murray bothered the Denver Nuggets fans after taking a premature exit on their recent exhibition match against the Chicago Bulls due to an apparent thigh injury.

But according to the dismisisve star guard, the said injury was just only a “cramp.”

“It was frustrating, but it’s OK,” Murray told Mike Singer of the Denver Post. “It’s just a cramp. It’s not like it was a pull. Nothing serious. My body hasn’t had this much since training camp, three-hour practices and all that. I guess I’m just adjusting to the workload, that’s all.”

Murray missed over 500 days of competitive basketball for the Nuggets to recover his ACL surgery. Any sort of injury may place him out on playing the game at the highest stage that he can attain.

It remains yet to be seen if head coach Mike Malone will put Murray on a minute restriction this preseason. As such, his health and availability will always be a priority for the franchise, as their title hopes are still very much alive with reigning back-to-back MVP Nikola Jokic at front.
