Patrick Beverley played his second preseason game for the Lakers. The 34-year-old point guard started the game in the backcourt alongside Russell Westbrook.

He played nearly 20 minutes during which he scored 8 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 2 assists as Lakers lost 115-119. After the game he talked about how his team is building chemistry ahead of the 2022-2023 NBA season.

“You guy through a season, especially with new guys, new faces, new team you have to build that brotherhood first,” Pat Bev said. “That brotherhood comes with trust and once you build that brotherhood and start to trust each other, I think basketball comes easy.

“It’s not even basketball. Two guys fell on the floor today – half the team helped one guy, half the other team helped… that shows we’re building a brotherhood here. And the more we do that, be a cohesive unit and be together, wins are coming.”
