The Chicago Bulls have picked up their fourth-year option on Patrick Williams (via Sportrac’s Keith Smith). The 2023-24 campaign will serve as the final year of his rookie deal.

Williams, 21, missed 65 games due to his wrist surgery recovery in last basketball year. As such, he has been a young frontcourt talent for the Bulls, imposing defensive versatility and improving offense.

He is slated to start for the Bulls with DeMar DeRozan at the wing this season. He averaged 9 points and 4.1 boards last 2021-22.
