The Milwaukee Bucks could be a sleeper team in landing the disgruntled Jae Crowder from the Phoenix Suns.

Per ESPN’s Zach Lowe, the Bucks might sneak to acquire Crowder, as they tend to lean on “switchable” tendencies. He also revealed that the club was secretly on the lookout for the previous Jerami Grant trade saga, until the Portland Trail Blazers landed a deal with the Detroit Pistons.

“The Bucks will look though I bet,” Lowe said on his The Lowe Post podcast. “The Bucks were sneakily kind of sniffing around Jerami Grant in Detroit before Portland swooped in. I think they like the idea of the switchable, switchable, switchable guys.”

Both Crowder and the Suns mutually agreed that the veteran won’t participate in the training camp, as the team is working out on a potential deal. It was reported by ESPN’s Brian Windhorst that Crowder ultimately requested to have a fresh, new start from another team upon learning that he may not start again for Phoenix next season.

Crowder is approaching the 2022-23 season as a contract year, wherein he has an expiring three-year deal which he signed with the Suns last 2020 offseason.

The departure of P.J. Tucker, fresh from their title year, left a huge void on the Bucks’ switchable wing man at the fourth spot. Should they land Crowder on a probable deal, the vet could serve as a missing piece to attain completeness of pursuing another title with Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the pack.
