The Kevin Durant saga officially ended today as the two-time NBA champion and the Nets agreed to continue their partnership or simply put KD committed to play next season in Brooklyn.

Five-time NBA champion and Lakers legend Magic Johnson was happy to hear the news. He took to Twitter to express his emotions.

“I’m happy to hear that Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai worked out a deal with the dynamic superstar Kevin Durant and his agent Rich Kleiman that made KD happy and want to stay with the Nets to try to bring a championship to Brooklyn!” he tweeted.

For Durant, who signed a four-year extension with the Nets last summer, this will his fourth year with the team. He played only two seasons in Brooklyn though, because he had to miss the first year due to an Achilles injury.
