P.J. Tucker declined his player option with the Heat which would have kept him in Miami for another team. He became an unrestricted free agent and is able to sign with any team.

The 2021 NBA champion is drawing interest from multiple teams with the 76ers are thought to be the favorites to land him, largely due to connections with the general manager Daryl Morey and James Harden.

However, the Heat players are not willing to give up on the 37-year-old veteran. Barry Jackson of Miami Herald reports that they are lobbying Tucker to stay in Miami.

This past season he averaged 7.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 27.9 minutes per game. Tucker started 70 of 71 games that he played for the Heat.
