5th & final 2022 NBA mock draft.

  1. Orlando Magic: Jabari Smith
  2. Oklahoma City Thunder: Chet Holmgren
  3. Houston Rockets: Paolo Banchero
  4. Sacramento Kings: Jaden Ivey
  5. Detroit Pistons: Keegan Murray
  6. Indiana Pacers: Bennedict Mathurin
  7. Portland Trail Blazers: Shaedon Sharpe
  8. New Orleans Pelicans: Dyson Daniels
  9. San Antonio Spurs: Jalen Duren
  10. Washington Wizards: Johnny Davis
  11. New York Knicks: AJ Griffin
  12. Oklahoma City Thunder: Jeremy Sochan
  13. Charlotte Hornets: Mark Williams
  14. Cleveland Cavaliers: Ousmane Dieng

Notes: The only change to my final mock for the 2022 NBA draft is Jeremy Sochan getting drafted by the Thunder at #12. I don’t know if OKC keeps this pick, but I’m confident Sochan impressed enough during predraft to go in the lottery. The top 3 may seem like a lock since ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted this morning that Jabari Smith, Chet Holmgren, & Paolo Banchero should go 1, 2, & 3. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a shakeup at #1 after sportsbooks (h/t to NBC Sports) came out with Banchero having the highest odds of going 1st to Orlando. A quick interesting note to add to this from my personal view is how the Magic handled their draft process last season at #8 being a sign they may not go with Smith this year. Former draft insider Chad Ford tweeted out just days before the 2021 draft that Orlando liked Ziaire Williams at 8 and had him in for multiple workouts. Obviously, that didn’t turn out to be their pick (drafted Franz Wagner). So I’m definitely not sold yet until Adam Silver announces the selection.
