4th 2022 NBA Mock Draft.

  1. Orlando Magic: Jabari Smith
  2. Oklahoma City Thunder: Chet Holmgren
  3. Houston Rockets: Paolo Banchero
  4. Sacramento Kings: Jaden Ivey
  5. Detroit Pistons: Keegan Murray

Notes: My top 4 of Jabari Smith, Chet Holmgren, Paolo Banchero, and Jaden Ivey remain the same. I don’t really expect much movement in the top 4 from now to Thursday except maybe Ivey moving up. My new changes start at pick #5 with Keegan Murray to the Detroit Pistons, as the recent rumors of Shaedon Sharpe’s fall are heating up. According to Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer, Sharpe has been underwhelming in multiple pre-draft workouts while The Athletic’s James Edwards III (h/t to Dana Gauruder of HoopsRumors) views Keegan Murray as a great option for Cade Cunningham.

6. Indiana Pacers: Bennedict Mathurin

7. Portland Trail Blazers: Shaedon Sharpe

8. New Orleans Pelicans: Dyson Daniels

9. San Antonio Spurs: Jalen Duren

10. Washington Wizards: Johnny Davis

Notes: Bennedict Mathurin recently told James Boyd of The Indianapolis Star that he sees himself fitting in with the Pacers at #6. Fischer also wrote that the Portland Trail Blazers and Oklahoma City Thunder could engage in a deal involving the 7th pick for Lu Dort and the 12th pick with Shaedon Sharpe as a likely target. I now have Dyson Daniels going to the New Orleans Pelicans at #8 and can’t see him falling past 10th. I’m staying confident at the 9th selection with Jalen Duren to the San Antonio Spurs. And at pick #10, Johnny Davis told NBC Sports Washington’s Andrew Gillis a few weeks back that the Washington Wizards are a team he could potentially be drafted by and have an impact right away.

11. New York Knicks: AJ Griffin

12. Oklahoma City Thunder: Ochai Agbaji

13. Charlotte Hornets: Mark Williams

14. Cleveland Cavaliers: Ousmane Dieng

Notes: Two-way players are missing on the New York Knicks, and AJ Griffin brings just that to NYC at #11. Assuming the Portland Trail Blazers get the 12th pick in a trade, I can see Ochai Agbaji going there as a trusted 3&D rookie. Mark Williams to the Charlotte Hornets at #13 stays the same. Lastly, with the 14th selection, Ousmane Dieng makes his mock draft debut with him going to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Matt Babcock of BasketballNews said this week that Dieng is rumored to have a lottery guarantee and believes Cleveland could be the team.
