Kevin Garnett is a firm believer in Rasheed Wallace’s presence in helping the Los Angeles Lakers to take the next step this upcoming season.
In a video clip released by SHOWTIME Basketball, the all-time great cager is pumped up for a potential partnership between Wallace and the Lakers franchise.
He also said that the former star big man can give an influential voice that Anthony Davis truly needs, via The SportsRush:
“I think this is great for this Lakers team. I think Anthony Davis needs an influence that he can have, someone in his ears. Rasheed Wallace is one of the best f**kin power forwards to ever play in our league, he is full of knowledge, he hasn’t shared that knowledge with the world, but I talk basketball with him several times, he is nothing below a genius and a mastermind.”
Initial reports have been released that Wallace has joined Darvin Ham’s coaching staff in Los Angeles. While it is not yet officially based on the words of Ham, there’s no doubt about the possible toughness he can bring to the purple and gold squad.
Wallace was a four-time All-star and a crucial part of the 2004 NBA Champion Detroit Pistons.
