The Timberwolves have ambitions for next season having lured former Nuggets’ executive Tim Connelly to Minnesota. He was appointed as the president of basketball operations and promises to work hard to get the most out of the team and improving the roster.

Connelly expects the Wolves to be a team to beat next season. “[Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards] are supremely talented guys,” Connelly said. “Last year it was so neat to watch them learn how to win. I think it’s one of the hardest boxes to check.

“Next year, we’ll be the hunted. Teams will be aware of the Wolves. We’re not going to sneak up on anybody. So, we have to be ready, we have to be that much sharper, much more prepared for the season.

“I think the DNA of this team is pretty special. Hopefully, I can help improve it a little bit keep growing and keep winning more games.”
