The Celtics came close to winning Game 5 against the Bucks but a crucial defensive play by Jrue Holiday helped Milwaukee take a 3-2 lead in the series.

With 11.4 seconds left to play in the fourth quarter the defending NBA champions held a single-point advantage (108-107) as Boston inbounded the ball.

Derrick White found Marcus Smart on the inbound. The Defensive Player of the Year drove to the basket for a layup just to get blocked by Holiday.

According to Jayson Tatum, this play was a result of miscommunication. “There was miscommunication, and the play broke down. Jrue Holiday made a great play at the rim,” he said, per Keith Smith.
