According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Brooklyn Nets star guard Ben Simmons is expected to need 3-to-4 months to make a full recovery from back surgery. The expectation is that he’ll be ready to return well ahead of training camp.

Simmons, who hasn’t played since the 2020-21 NBA playoffs, will undergo a “microdiscectomy procedure” on Thursday to “alleviate pain caused by the herniated disc” in his back.
