The NBA overturns Luka Doncic’s 16th technical foul in the Dallas Mavericks’ dominant duel against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.

The number of technicals by the superstar returns to 15, which makes him still eligible to play in the Dallas’ season-ender against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.

Doncic fumingly complained against the officials on the absence of a foul call against Blazers’ Elijah Hughes, who seemingly had a contact in his last-second heave entering the second quarter. Crew chief Tony Brothers then slapped the Mavs main man with a technical foul.

The Slovenian phenom still proceeded to drop a whopping 39 points, 11 boards, and seven assists in just 30 minutes of action, leading his team to a 40-point demolition against Portland, 128-78.

Doncic now has two technical fouls that were rescinded by the league. He had the first one in a match against the Golden State Warriors in late February.

The result of the Mavs-Spurs match will have a huge swing on the seedings of the third and fourth slate within the Western Conference. Currently, the Mavs sit at the top four with a 51-30 record, trailing the 51-29 Warriors.
