The Lakers are now on a five-game losing streak and out of the play-in spots after losing against the Pelicans (111-114). New Orleans swept the regular season series against Los Angeles 3-0.

Both LeBron James and Anthony Davis played in this game, scoring 38 and 23 points respectively, but it wasn’t enough for the Lakers get the win.

“They just made more plays than us,” said Lakers head coach Frank Vogel. “We missed some free-throws, they hit a couple of tough floaters, BI (Brandon Ingram) and (CJ) McCollum.

“We had one breakdown where we didn’t get out to (Jonas) Valanciunas, he made a three. We didn’t convert offensively down the stretch. We had a couple of good looks that didn’t go in for us. They just more plays down the stretch.”
