The Dallas Mavericks star guard Luka Doncic scored 34 points in a triple-double and the Mavericks routed the LeBron James and Anthony Davis-less Los Angeles Lakers 128-110 on Tuesday night.

After the game, the Lakers forward Stanley Johnson said he did a “lousy” job defending Luka Doncic and that the Mavs “kicked our ass” as a result.

“That starts with me … Good thing it’s the NBA, so we play again soon and I’ll have a chance to do something else about it.”

Johnson said “every loss hurts a lot more” but insists that no one on the team is quitting. “We signed a contract to play for the Lakers … I don’t even think that’s an option, to stop playing, in my opinion.”
