When it comes to NBA MVP talks, the name of Devin Booker is usually left out. Recently Pistons legend Isiah Thomas expressed support for the Suns star as an MVP candidate via a tweet.
“Let it be known @DevinBook @Suns @nba league #MVP conversation best record leading scorer has always been part of the #criteria,” the three-time NBA champion tweeted.
Booker had his own response. “Appreicate that IT but the “#criteria” changes depending on players name,” the 25-year-old shooting guard tweeted.
This season Booker is averaging 25.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 34.3 minutes per game as Phoenix holds the best record in the entire league.
