Celtics guard Marcus Smart shared his side of the on his play that led to Steph Curry’s injury. The Warriors superstar is out indefinitely with a sprained ligament in his left foot.

According to Smart, he didn’t see the three-time NBA champion and was just diving for the ball. While admitting that his play might be viewed as dirty, he added that his teammates know that he is not a dirty player.

“I didn’t see [Curry]. I saw the ball, I dove for the ball, trying to make a play,” Smart said. “Unfortunately that occurred.”

“I’m sure I’m going to get called dirty. But I know who I am… I play very hard and I leave everything on the court… My teammates, my colleagues, they know I’m not a dirty player.”
