As they are set to miss Jaden McDaniels’ service for two weeks, the Minnesota Timberwolves are reportedly looking into a possibility of searching for playing candidates in the open market.

Team insider and The Athletic’s Jon Krawczynski provided the story, saying that inking a 10-day temporary replacement is on the table.

McDaniels was ruled out for an extended time after an MRI revealed that he sustained a left ankle sprain in his awkward landing in Minny’s recent clash against the San Antonio Spurs.

Considered as a staple of the Timberwolves’ bench, the second-year pro McDaniels has been widely praised for his versatility and reliability. He is averaging 9.4 points on 45.9% shooting, 4.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists for the promising seventh-seeded ball club.
