LeBron James recently said he desires to stay with the Lakers for as long as possible. Should he move, Los Angeles city rivals appears not to be an option at all.

“I actually have floated this to some people who might know, would LeBron ever go to the Clippers?” ESPN’s Zach Lowe said on The Lowe Podcast, per Jonathan Adams of Heavy.com. “And the answer was, ‘hard no, hard no.'”

James is playing his fourth season with the Lakers. He is has still one more year left on his contract but is eligible for an extension this summer.

At the age of 37 he is averaging 29.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 37 minutes per game.
