It is now confirmed officially that Kemba Walker will not play another game for the Knicks this season. The 31-year-old point guard was playing a limited role in New York and was frustrated with that.
Finally, a an agreement was reached where he will skip the remained of the season. According to Knicks President Leon Rose, Walker will focus on getting ready for the next season.
“We fully support Kemba’s decision to shut it down for the remainder of the season and use this time to prepare for next season. His long-term success on the court remains our priority,” was Rose’s official statement as released by the Knicks.
This season Walker averaged 11.6 points, 3 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 25.6 minutes per game for the Knicks, which is his lowest numbers in a 11-year NBA career.
