Kemba Walker is having his worst season in the NBA stat-wise. The 31-year-old point guard is averaging 12 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 26 minutes per game for the New York Knicks.
The four-time NBA All-Star is adjusting to having to defer to other players in offense which is not what he is used to. In addition, there were games when Walker did not play because of Knicks head coach Tim Thibodieau’s decision.
He has appeared in 31 games, starting on all occasions, while New York has played 52 games. According to Walker, his situation is ‘different.’

“We do have a lot of guys who can score the basketball. And we don’t play through me,” Walker said. “So I’m just kind of out there – I’m the one playing off these guys. I’m playing off these guys. So I’m waiting for my opportunities. And I’m still learning where to be aggressive and things of that nature on this team. I can’t say it enough, it’s different. It’s just different for me.”
