Nikola Jokic appeared in his fourth NBA All-Star Game this year. The 27-year-old Serbian center was on Team LeBron which defeated Team Durant in the All-Star Game.

The reigning NBA MVP scored 10 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished 8 assists in 21 minutes of play. But it wasn’t the actual game or other All-Star events that left the biggest impression on him.

It was the Phoenix Suns head coach Monty Williams. He surprised Jokic by being calm and humble, a person he could talk to.

“If I take one thing from this All-Star, it’s going to be Monty Williams,” Jokic said of the Suns/Team LeBron coach. “He touched me as a person. This is a man, a human being, he’s calm, you feel like you can talk to him about anything. He surprised me with that.”
