Andrew Wiggins is an All-Star for the first time in his career after going through many ups and downs. Wiggins is oozing with confidence after was named an All-Star starter, according to Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr.

“Andrew is just the most humble, modest guy,” Kerr added. “I do think though that being named a starter has infused him with more confidence than ever,” Kerr said during his appearance on 95.7 The Game’s Damon & Ratto (H/T to NBC Sports Bay Area).

“He’s shooting the lights out, he’s playing with such ease and confidence and it’s great to see. He’s put all the work in, he’s dealt with a lot of stuff over the years, a lot of stress, people calling him a ‘bust’ and all that stuff. He’s just put his head down and worked and he’s earned this. He’s just playing lights out right now.”

Wiggins is averaging 18.3 points on 48 percent from the field and 41 percent from beyond the arc through 47 games with the 39-13 Warriors. In the last three games he played for Golden State, Wiggins is definitely shooting the lights out, putting 22.0 points on 56/54/66 shooting splits.

“I think it’s just the smoothness in his game, there’s no indecision. When he’s open he’s just rising up and shooting it, no hesitation. He’s aggressive defensively. He’s just got a very quiet confidence about him and it’s been fun to see it blossom here over the last week,” Kerr added.

The Warriors hope to continue adding to their winning tally being at a seven-game winning streak. They have the chance to extend their streak against Sacramento Thursday.
