The Los Angeles Lakers gave another chance to Stanley Johnson to prove himself by signing him to the third 10-day contract. The 25-year-old power forward repaid the team by providing a much needed offensive punch in the fourth quarter against the Utah Jazz.

After the game Johnson was asked about how he feels in this situation where he is on his third 10-day deal with the Lakers. “I’m blessed,” he said. “I was cut by the Chicago Bulls earlier in the year. I don’t know you get cut by a team you don’t know how long you have to play in the NBA.

“Not only am I playing in NBA, I play for the hometown team. My God his service is good so I’m just happy I’m here and happy we’re winning again. So stuff like that.”

Johnson has played 9 games for the Lakers so far averaging 5.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
