After missing six weeks, Miami Heat big man Bam Adebayo is targeting a return against the Toronto Raptors on Jan. 17, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Adebayo has been ramping up on the court in practice this week.

The 24-year-old, who underwent right thumb surgery for a torn Ulnar Collateral Ligament (UCL), is averaging 18.7 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game this season.

In Adebayo’s absence, Omer Yurtseven stepped up and averaged 12.1 points, 14.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists in eight starts.

Yurtseven, 23, has also recorded double figure rebounds in 12 games in a row and thanks to his strong play, the Heat can be more confident in their frontcourt depth.
