The Golden State Warriors have ruled out Draymond Green for their two upcoming games, due to calf tightness.
Per a report from Anthony Slater of The Athletic, head coach Steve Kerr announced the decision, further saying that the big man might also entirely miss the Dubs’ next four games on their current road trip.
With Green out since last week, the Warriors recently took a huge blow on their 116-108 Tuesday night loss against the Memphis Grizzlies. As the rising Chicago Bulls and the defending champions Milwaukee Bucks are now in front on their schedule, it’ll be interesting how they will handle these two Eastern Conference heavyweights without their demonstrative leader.
Green is averaging 7.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.2 blocks. The engine of the Warriors’ reemergence is one of the clear favorites to win the Defensive Player of the Year this season.
Golden State remains competitive and is now projected to return into the postseason after a two-year absence, filling the second spot of the hyper-competitive Western Conference with a 30-10 card.
