The Philadelphia 76ers extended their winning streak to seven games by defeating the Houston Rockets (111-91). Joel Embiid led the winners with 31 points. He also added 8 rebounds and 6 assists.

After the game, the 27-year-old Cameroonian center talked about the importance of him performing well in order for the Sixers to win games.

“I hold myself to that standard of trying to win and be the best, or one of the best, ever,” Embiid said, per ESPN. “The good thing about it is, we’ve been winning. To be able to win every single night, I’ve got to show up.”

This season, Embiid is averaging 26.8 points, 10.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game for Philadelphia. The Sixers are currently sitting in the fifth place in the Eastern Conference with 23 wins and 16 losses.
