Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid is known for his ability to get in his opponent’s mind and dominate him both mentally and physically.

He did exactly that to Montrezl Harrell in the Sixers’ 117-96 victory over the Washington Wizards on Sunday. Embiid came away with a monster double-double effort of 36 points and 13 rebounds.

Also, he and Harrell had a heated exchange during the third quarter that resulted in both players earning a technical. Thirty seconds later, Harrell pushed Embiid, yelled at him, and was given his second technical and ejected.

“He flopped. I don’t think he made a play on the ball, and we got tangled,” Embiid said on the heated scuffle with the Wizards’ big man.

“I wouldn’t say I baited him into that,” the Philadelphia 76ers’ superstar continued. “I’d like to think I’m a troll.” Harrell appeared annoyed on Embiid in the post-game presser.

“He was the one to step back and point, ‘Oh, oh, I got pushed!’ Stand on your toughness. If you’re so tough, stand on that, my dude. Don’t start nitpicking and pointing and wanting to do the telling when the ref walk in, my guy,” Harrell said on the second technical.

Regardless, the Sixers improved to 17-16 after Sunday’s win to tie the Wizards in the Eastern Conference, as both teams are ranked sixth and seventh in the standings, respectively.
