Los Angeles Clippers will have to compete without Paul George for the next several weeks as the All-Star has been diagnosed with a torn UCL in his right elbow.

George suffered the torn UCL during the Clippers’ game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Dec. 6. He missed the next five games before returning on Dec. 20. He then played two more games, before the Clippers ruled him out.

George was added to the LA’s franchise long list of injuries that includes Kawhi Leonard, Reggie Jackson, and Marcus Morris, with the latter two set to return soon.

“Just try to play the right way and compete every single night. Guys get to step up but not do too much, just do it by committee and we’ve been here before. I know we hear the next-man-up mentality, but that’s how we got to be.

We’ve done it for periods of time and now it’s going to be a little longer than we expected with both Kawhi and PG, but Reggie will be back soon, Marcus will be back soon,” Ty Lue said after the Clippers loss to Denver on Sunday.

The Clippers battled hard against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets; however, they could not complete the comeback to get an important win, dropping to 17-16 after the loss. They will face the COVID-ridden Brooklyn Nets on Monday.
