After straining his back on Christmas Day game vs Dallas, Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz will miss at least his team’s next two games.

The Jazz will not have Mitchell available for the upcoming road trip to San Antonio and Portland. The All-Star shooting guard will remain in Salt Lake City to receive treatment for a lower left back strain.

During the first quarter in Saturday’s game vs Mavs, Mitchell experienced some tightness on his back, going towards the locker room. After some stretching, the team cleared Mitchell to return to the game.

On Sunday the Jazz told reporters that Mitchell would be out for the next two games. The Jazz are scheduled to play the San Antonio Spurs on Monday and the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
